TFC Gives Back on its 20th Year, Releases Commemorative Album

As part of its year-long 20th anniversary celebrations and in keeping with the holiday tradition, the premier network in the world, The Filipino Channel (TFC), is sharing the gift of giving with its pledge for donations to the ABS-CBN Foundation feeding program for new subscriptions and is thanking new subscribers via the gift of the TFC 20th Anniversary Commemorative Album.

TFC, launched in 1994, celebrates its 20th anniversary this year with the theme “Galing ng Filipino, tuloy mo” or “Forging Ahead with the greatness of the Filipino.”

The Commemorative Album, a limited edition four-disc collection, features “Dalawang Dekada ng Tagumpay, Galing at Pagasa,” containing TFC’s 20th Anniversary theme and MTV “Galing ng Filipino” plus a videoke version, behind-the-scenes and an audio-visual presentation on the journey that the network took along with the Filipinos it serves as they lead their lives outside the homeland; “Kuwento Natin ‘To: A Toast to the Best Years of Our Lives,” all of TFC’s station IDs all throughout its history of serving Filipinos such as “Switch on the Philippines” (a version was then sung by the Ang TV Kids), “At Home Ka sa TFC” sung by Martin Nievera, “Isang Dugo, Isang Lahi, Isang Musika” sung by Lea Salonga, “Lipad ng Pangarap” sung by Gary V, “Dahil Tayo’y Filipino” sung by by Charice Pempengco and “Tayo Ang TFC” sung by Jed Madela; “Panahon ng Pagsasama –sama, ABS-CBN’s Best Summer and Christmas SIDs; and “Ang Himig ng Buhay Mo;” select 20 TFC soundtracks from the most memorable teleseryes seen across the globe via TFC: “May Bukas Pa,” “Ikaw Ang Pangarap,” “Sana Maulit Muli,” Hanggang Sa Dulo ng Walang Hanggan,” Muling Buksan Ang Puso,” “Ngayon at Kailanman,” “Please Be Careful With My Heart,” “Mula Sa Puso,” “Sana’y Wala ng Wakas,” “Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo,” “Maging Sino Ka Man,” “Nag-iisang Bituin,” Saan Darating Ang Umaga,” “Tayong Dalawa,” “Hanggang Kailan Kita Mamahalin,” “Pangako Sa ‘Yo,” “Ikaw Lamang,” “Sabihin Mo Sa Akin,” “Natutulog Ba Ang Diyos,” and “Tanging Yaman.”

For every new subscription, TFC will donate USD $2 to the ABS-CBN Foundation Feeding program under each subscriber’s name. In return, TFC will gift subscribers the limited edition TFC 20th Anniversary Commemorative Album.

Bantay Kalusugan (Nutrition Watch) is a Supplemental Feeding Project under Bantay Bata (Child Watch) that was designed to directly address malnutrition among 6-12 year old school children. It is also a venue for expanding advocacy on nutrition, children’s rights, proper parenting skills, community mobilization, and linkages building.
