Mary Jean Lastimosa is Brightest Frontrunner in 63rd Miss Universe, NY Website Says

Written By PC on Monday, 19 January 2015 | 12:25

According to New York website Venture Capital Post, Philippine bet to the 63rd Miss Universe pageant–Mary Jean Lastimosa–is the brightest frontrunner to become Gabriela Isler’s successor.

The website made a fearless forecast that the crown will go to MJ’s head because the Philippine bet is the currently “the loudest and brightest” among the 88 candidates vying for the title. They also pointed out that the crown is long due to be worn by an Asian this time, the last time was 6 years ago courtesy of Japan’s Riyo Mori. Furthermore, candidates from the Philippines consistently landed a spot at the top five in the last four consecutive years: Venus Raj (fourth runner-up in 2010), Shamcey Supsup (3rd runner-up in 2011), Janine Tugonon (1st runner-up in 2012) and Ariella Arida (3rd runner up in 2013).

MJ’s biggest Asian rival, however, is Miss India. But with Manny Pacquiao as one of the judges, Philippines’ chances to win the title increased tremendously.

Do you think MJ will bring home the bacon?

The actual Swimsuit and Evening Gown Preliminaries of the 63rd Miss Universe is happening on Wednesday, January 21 (Thursday morning in Manila). Let’s support MJ all the way!
